What will I learn?
This course equips students with knowledge of Irish Employment Law. It will help in future employment by giving you a strong understanding of your rights and responsibilities at work. Completing this course will help you confidently deal with issues such as contracts, pay, equality, and fair treatment. It also develops practical skills employers value, including professional communication, critical thinking, and the ability to apply the law to real workplace situations—helping you make informed decisions, avoid disputes, and progress confidently in your career.
How is this course taught?
This part time course is taught in person. Classes take place in the Castlemill Education Centre in Balbriggan on Wednesday evenings 18:00 – 21:00. Please note, all class times and days can be subject to change.
When will this course take place?
This course will start in September 2026 and will finish in January 2027. Students will have holidays during the October midterm break and Christmas.
Who can apply for this course?
Adults who live in the Fingal area can apply for this course. To ensure that you are offered a place on a course which is at the right level for you and appropriate to your learning needs all applicants are assessed prior to placement on the course. A strong level of English language and IT skills are required for the course.
