What will I learn?

This course is for students with low English language skills and low educational levels. It aims to provide students with the necessary skills and qualifications to improve their English language, numerical and digital skills in order to be able to integrate into the community. Students receive a QQI level 2 General Learning Award on successful completion of the course. To ensure that you are offered a place on a course which is at the right level for you and appropriate to your learning needs all applicants are assessed prior to placement on the course.

How is this course taught?

This course is taught in person with excellent English Language Teachers.

When will this course take place?

This course is part-time over two years, five days a week from early September until the end of May. Start times are 9:30 and finish times 11:15 approximately, Monday to Friday. Classes take place in Balbriggan, Castlemill Education Centre, K32P237.

Who can apply for this course?

Students who need to improve their English Language and Digital Skills.

Am I eligible for funding?

This course is free to all participants.

Certification

Students will receive a certificate for each completed module and a full award certificate after completing the whole course.
